He personally drives the Government & Public Sector team that advises businesses as well as Central and State governments on policy-related issues, particularly around investment promotion, infrastructure, ease of doing business, skill development and technology transformation.

Having played different functional roles since his early professional years, Suraj is well-versed with the fundamentals of all practice verticals within the firm. He specializes in international taxation, M&A and transaction advisory. He has served several multi-national and domestic clients on matters relating to entry strategy, acquisitions, business consolidations, re-alignment and exit structures.

In the field of corporate M&A, he has worked on buy-side/sell-side advisory, corporate fund raising (debt and equity syndication) and transaction structuring involving tax, regulatory (FEMA and FDI regulations), corporate law, SEBI and transaction financing issues. He has also dealt with various domestic and international tax matters for mitigating tax exposures and ensuring compliance.
